About Our Cultural Association

Probaho Cultural Association is a registered Bengali cultural association based in Devanahalli, Bangalore, formed to bring together Bengali families in and around our community to celebrate our shared culture, traditions and festivities.

We are entirely community-driven — every event we host is made possible by the time, effort and enthusiasm of our members. It is this spirit of togetherness that keeps our traditions alive, season after season, away from home.

Our Festivals

Through the year, we come together to celebrate the festivals that are closest to every Bengali heart.

Durga Puja

Our flagship celebration and the heart of the Probaho calendar — days of pandal, rituals, cultural programs and community feasting.

Kali Puja

Honoring Maa Kali with rituals and devotion, celebrated with the same warmth and participation as our other festivities.

Saraswati Puja

A celebration of learning and the arts, dedicated to the Goddess of knowledge, music and wisdom.

Poila Boishakh

Welcoming the Bengali New Year with cultural programs, food and festivities that celebrate our roots.

Rabindra & Nazrul Jayanti

We occasionally come together to celebrate the birth anniversaries of Rabindranath Tagore and Kazi Nazrul Islam, honoring their contribution to Bengali literature and music.

Community at Our Core

Probaho exists because of its members. From organizing pandal logistics to cultural performances, decorations to prasad — every festival we celebrate is a labour of love contributed by volunteers within our community. If you'd like to be a part of it, we'd love to have you join us.
